Do-It-Yourself oil changers replace an estimated 50% of the U.S annual 300 million gallons of motor oil. A quarter of this 150 million gallon equal 37.5 million gallons of oil that can be recycled or reused. However if just 1 gallon of the remaining 112.5 million gallons is disposed of incorrectly it can contaminate 1 million gallons of drinking water. Waste Management, Banning’s Waste Hauler, will pick up used oil curbside if residents call at least a week prior to collection day. There is a two gallon and three oil filters per month limit on this service.  For Additional information please call 1-800-423-9986.
