Storm Water Information

The City of Banning’s Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the City’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Annual Storm Water Permit, inspecting, monitoring, and reporting storm water activity, and educating the City’s staff about storm water pollution prevention.

ONLY RAIN DOWN THE STORM DRAIN
The discarding of trash, hazardous waste (such as paint, chemicals, motor oil) and other materials into the storm drain system, which includes catch basins, the curb and gutter, and open channels is illegal and in violation of the City's NPDES Permit. If you see someone who is illegally dumping such materials, please report it immediately.
